Cave Tours
Begin your day in the caves
Or end your day in the caves! Cave tours start at set-times throughout the day. Once your tour has been reserved, you’ll have a great sense of how to plan the rest of your day.
Our most popular tours:
Discovery tour
A fun, guided, educational walking tour for families and beginning cavers that includes learning about cave formations and geology.
Haunted Lantern tour
A longer, deeper (and darker!) exploration into the mountain, illuminated by lanterns. Hear ghost stories, folklore, and spooky history. To learn about cave formations and geology, check out our Discovery Tour!
Pro tip:
Discovery Tour or Haunted Lantern Tour?
If you’re looking for a fun and educational tour to see formations and learn about geology, then our Discovery Tour is for you!
Are you ready to cave?
Comfortable walking shoes, a light jacket, and your sense of adventure!
Bending down and shuffling your feet is required, so wearing athletic shoes is highly recommended. Please keep in mind your shoes may get muddy while on this tour.
Wear comfortable clothing: jeans, shorts, or even a comfortable skirt will do. Make sure your shoes have good traction – sneakers or hiking boots are ideal. Bring a light jacket – even in the heat of a Colorado summer, the temperature in these Colorado caves is a pleasant 54 degrees.
Reservations for tours are accepted for groups of 15 or more. A deposit is required, and we recommend you make reservations at least two weeks in advance. For reservations and group rates, call 719-685-5444, ext. 5056 or email is at info@caveofthewinds.com
