This cave was so unique, astonishing, and interesting. Our tour guide, Jay, was so knowledgeable and taught us so much of what we were seeing and the history of what we viewed.

“Awesome”
I used to go to Cave of the Winds when I was a little kid. I’m 31 now and didn’t remember it that well. So I went today and had a complete blast. I could feel it all coming back to me. I will be back sometime to do the Lantern Tour, which sounds more adventurous.

“Great Tour With An Awesome Guide”
We had the funniest tour guide. She did an awesome job and it seems like she really enjoys what she does. She gave us so much neat information. The cave is absolutely beautiful and I would definitely go again.

“A Great Attraction For Everybody”
The rooms are dramatically lit to make the natural crystals look more beautiful, and at one point in the tour the guide will turn off all of the lights to let the guests experience pure black darkness.

“What an Experience”
It was an amazing experience, the caves are beautiful and full of amazing things to see. Our group was made up of children and adults, and the tour guide was very informative.

“Surprisingly Extensive Cave System!”
It’s a great place to visit any time of the year — nice and cool in the summer, and warmer than outside in the winter. There are great hiking trails in the area as well. We’re planning on going back for the Caving 101 Tour, which you can book for groups of 15+ and you go into an area of the caves with crystals and get very dirty!

I definitely plan on going back for the full Lantern tour because being in there you could tell there was so much we didn’t get to see on the Discovery Tour and the lantern tour is surely more adventurous and likely has many more stories to be told.

We went on the Lantern Tour with Tasha, who was a great tour guide telling all sorts of stories about the history of the cave system and those that owned it. She also told us ghost stories about the cave. The tour was done with oil lamps in cans and it was a unique way to go on the tour. I would definitely recommend going on the Lantern Tour.

This is a great place to visit, whether you are a tourist in your own state or an out-of-state visitor. We were able to get a military discount for the Lantern Tour.
