Hang On To Your Seat!

The Bat-a-Pult leaves from its roost high in the rafters of our Pavilion, launching you on an epic, 1,200-foot round-trip flight across Williams Canyon at speeds of nearly 40 mph. 

Participants will be strapped securely into their seats. And, for little ones, because we’re a family-friendly attraction, you can experience the thrill with Mom or Dad right at your side! Get ready to slice through the air during the day or, if you’re daring, between dusk and nightfall, just like a bat!

Anyone who is 48” tall, young or old will love this ride!

  • March 15 – March 31, 2013: Open 10:30 a.m.–4 p.m. ( Open During Spring Break)
  • April 5, 2013 – April 28, 2013: Open 10:30 a.m.-4 p.m. (Open Wednesday-Sunday, Closed Mondays & Tuesdays)
  • May 1, 2013 – May 25, 2013: Open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. (Open Wednesday-Sunday, Closed Mondays & Tuesdays)
  • May 26 – June 30, 2013: Open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. (Daily)
  • July 1 – Sept. 1, 2013*: Open 9 a.m.–7 p.m. (Open Daily)
    (*Exceptions: Monday, Aug. 19 – Thursday, Aug. 22; Monday, Aug. 26 – Thursday, Aug. 29: Open 10:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.)
  • Sept. 1 – Sept. 2, 2013: Open 9 a.m.–7 p.m. (Open Daily)
  • Labor Day, Sept. 2, 2013: Open 10:30 a.m.–4 p.m.
  • Sept. 6 – Oct. 24, 2013: Open 10:30 a.m.–4 p.m. (Open Wednesday-Sunday, Closed Mondays & Tuesdays) (Weather Permitting) 
  • Cave tours are given year-round. However, our outdoor attractions will CLOSE the third weekend in October, with the exception of groups of 15 or more, reserved in advance and weather-permitting. Please call (719) 685-5444, ext. 5056 for reservations and special holiday hours.

Summertime in Colorado can be a bit unpredictable!

The common wisdom is, “If you don’t like the weather, wait five minutes: it’ll change!” Occasionally, due to storms, it is necessary to close our outdoor attractions for everyone’s safety. Therefore, if you have purchased a ticket for our Outdoor Attractions and we feel it necessary to wait for the weather to clear, you may:

  • Wait it out
  • Receive a Rain Check from our ticket office, and come back with your receipt anytime later during the season to play on our Outdoor Attractions at no extra charge.  
  • Wait one hour and see if the attractions open
  • If not, after 60 minutes of delay, you can with your receipt receive a full refund for your outdoor ticket purchased.
